Art nouveau style handmade earrings. Named Bacchae after the female devotees of the cult of the god Bacchus, known to the Greeks as Dionysus. Bacchus was the god of wine, drunkenness, and the grapevine. 
Every part of this earring is handmade including the ear wire, which is the only part that has been made out of gold-filled brass wire in order for it to be more long-wearing and less likely to irritate sensitive ears.  Gold-filled wire has a higher gold content than gold plated wire and so it is much more tarnish resistant and less likely to cause irritation to ears. 
The drop of the earring is made from gold plated copper wire with peridot chips and faceted peridot as well as faceted amethyst. The drop is long:  8 cm.
